Treatment Specialties and Clinical Interests: I am an EMDR trained therapist utilizing an integrative and trauma-informed approach. I focus on adults dealing with PTSD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, grief, life transitions, and relationship challenges, including those within the LGBTQ community. The heart of my work includes guiding individuals through childhood and adult trauma, also referred to as complex trauma. My passion lies in assisting clients in uncovering the root causes of their struggles, identifying negative thought patterns, and building healthier coping skills to promote healing and integration.
Clinical Approach: My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, weaving together a diverse array of therapeutic modalities. It is deeply rooted in empathy, respect, and a strong commitment to establishing a safe and nurturing environment. Your personal experiences, values, and goals guide our sessions, fostering a collaborative dynamic between us. I am here to support you in developing a heightened self-awareness and cultivating the skills to live the life you envision.
Education and Experience: I hold a Masters in Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University. My training includes EMDR, a highly effective therapy for trauma resolution; Parts Work Therapy, which focuses on addressing the various “parts” or aspects of an individual’s personality and psyche; and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have worked in diverse settings including a residential treatment center and community mental health clinics.
Personal Interests: As in my professional endeavors, I nurture a spirit of curiosity in my personal life. I am passionate about embracing new experiences, whether it be through traveling, reading, learning new skills, or the forging of connections with new people. Alongside this, I am a proud mom and forever hold a special place in my heart for my beloved dogs, who were my true companions.
