Bob Deane, MA, LPCC

Treatment Specialties and Clinical Interests: I have experience working with individuals, families, and couples and I enjoy working with kids, teens, and adults from diverse backgrounds. I like to work with folks going through life transitions, mood disorders, and daily life struggles. I also have a particular interest in treating grief, trauma, and addictions.

Clinical Approach: My approach to therapy is client centered, goal oriented, and solution focused. With families, I work from a Family Systems approach addressing the whole system and exploring what is working in the system and what needs to change. I am certified in EMDR and also draw heavily from CBT, DBT, and Solution Focused Therapy in my work with clients.

Education and Experience: I received my Master of Arts in Counseling with an emphasis in At-Risk-Youth from The College of Santa Fe in 2001. I have worked as a therapist and clinical director in many agencies in Santa Fe over the years since. I have facilitated individual, family, and group therapy with diverse populations and all age ranges.

Personal Interests: I grew up in Maine and did my undergraduate degree in New Hampshire. I moved to Santa Fe in 1998 following a particularly harsh Maine winter! I spend my free time with friends and seeing live music. I am active in animal rescue and have spent the last five years working on legislation for an affordable statewide spay/neuter program. I live with my two rescue dogs, Rosa and Indie
